Karnatak University, Dharwad is one of Karnataka’s prominent centres of higher education and was established in 1949, with its official inauguration in March 1950. Located in Pavate Nagar, Dharwad, the university has an expansive 888-acre campus and has played an important role in advancing higher education, research and cultural studies in North Karnataka.

The university offers programmes across Arts, Commerce, Education, Law, Management, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences, with numerous postgraduate departments, constituent colleges and affiliated institutions.
